General Description:
This internship will have a heavy focus on studio and field video production. We are seeking a collaborative, organized, and enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for visual storytelling who is looking to kickstart their career in the NFL alongside an Emmy-award winning crew. Ravens Productions delivers a diverse content portfolio. As such, the successful applicant will pursue excellence in all aspects of video production. On gamedays, the primary role of this position is to support in-house cinematographers and there will be limited opportunities to shoot.
A successful candidate will have working knowledge of production including, but not limited to: cinema-style cameras and professional lenses, the ability to pull their own focus, set up three-point lighting, and wrap cables. Candidates should be able to discuss their craft with knowledge and passion.
Essential duties for this role include:
- Setting up and shooting press conferences, open locker room sessions, and video podcasts at a professional level
- Assisting on studio and various field shoots including daily digital and social content, television programming, and field shoots in our community
- Maintaining and preparing production gear and keeping our studio and equipment room organized
- Operating audio equipment in studio and field locations
- Transporting, setting up, and operating equipment
- Assisting with staging, lighting, and set preparation
- Operating NFL Network’s Team Cam and maintaining relationships with NFL Network contacts
- Collaborating with in-house team to execute branded content
- Some logging and editing will be required. Adobe Premiere and Prelude knowledge is a plus
- This position will be required to work irregular hours in-season as well as work and possibly travel on weekends
- This position understands that their primary role is to support in-house cinematographers on gameday with limited opportunities to shoot.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
COMPENSATION: Ravens broadcasting interns are paid an hourly wage.
