U.S Soccer is currently building a National Training Center in Fayette County, GA. This role will be reporting to the office in Fayetteville, GA.

Position Description
As a contributing member within the Finance Department, the Manager of Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) serves the organization’s staff, department heads, senior leadership, and Federation members through financial planning, reporting, forecasting, analysis, and operations. This position supports the management and presentation of the annual budget to support the organization’s strategic objectives. This role performs data analysis and develops reports across several areas including federation/departmental financial performance, national team games, and travel & expenses, while assisting with projects and analysis as necessary.

The Manager of FP&A is expected to lead day-to-day responsibility for managing and controlling various revenue streams and expense drivers. This role will support accurate planning, reporting and analysis of the Federation’s operations. This position entails increased scope and complexity including strategic special projects. Must be able to fulfill ad hoc requests from various internal and external sources to support decision-making and provide necessary insight to executives, managers, department heads and personnel. Individual must be flexible, proactive and able to work with ambiguity. Individual must be able to commit to the time requirements of this position, which may demand extended hours as required.
Primary Responsibilities 

  • Lead and prepare the month-end, quarterly and full-year forecast/reports, including developing and supporting reporting packages for various internal and external stakeholders while ensuring forecasts are properly reflected in planning tools and systems
  • Develop and manage the consolidation and reporting of annual long-range plan including department detail, summaries, while creating presentation decks through various approvals
  • Analyze financial trends and corporate activity for strategic decision making and forecasting while working with the strategy department on framework for U.S. Soccer’s five-year projections.
  • Support the administration of the Financial Forecasting system and interconnectivity to ERP
  • Perform complex special projects at the request of Management
  • Work with Department head to develop and oversee the work product of more junior financial analysts in the group and provide training and guidance as required.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 4-year degree in a business-related field with 4 to 7 years business-related experience and demonstrated success in finance or business operations.
  • Thorough computer-based analytical skills (e.g. Access, Excel, Power Point, database management)
  • Experience with various financial and technology software including, but not limited to, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle, Martus, Chrome River, Concur, and Stripe
  • Exposure to accounting principles, financial metrics and financial statement relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical & ability to prioritize workflow
  • Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure and deadlines
  • Strong verbal, written and in-person communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications 

  • MBA/CPA
  • Expertise in financial reporting software and systems
  • Experience in Financial modeling
  • Prior experience working at sporting organization, financial services, or public accounting firm
