As a member of our digital team, the Digital Product Coordinator will work to advance Ravens digital efforts, help execute initiatives across all digital platforms and evolve our owned and operated digital product offerings that serve our fans and internal team members. This person will oversee BaltimoreRavens.com, including web page creation, site updates, optimizing pages for search engines and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess proven abilities in digital product management or digital strategy and previous experience using a CMS to manage a website. The candidate must have a fan-first mindset, an understanding of website management and SEO, and the ability to utilize data to improve our O&O digital properties. The ideal candidate will also think creatively and analytically. This person should be an excellent communicator as this position will interface with others throughout the organization.

Qualified candidates will be highly motivated and exceedingly flexible with an ability to adapt to constant changes that come with the NFL schedule and news cycle. The ideal candidate will habitually stay abreast of web trends and have an awareness of the latest developments and best practices in the industry. The candidate will be highly collaborative and possess a willingness to share new ideas. Strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mentality, time-management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines are a must. Alongside the Digital Strategy & Innovation Coordinator, this person is responsible for managing the Digital Media Intern.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the frontend user experience of BaltimoreRavens.com and the backend management of the site using the NFL CMS
  • Web page creation and updates, content posting, fulfillment of web requests from departments across the organization
  • Work with Digital Designers to maintain organization’s brand look across all O&O platforms
  • Ensure first-class user web experience on both desktop and mobile platforms
  • SEO and ADA compliance
  • Live streaming of events
  • Build user submission forms using Formstack
  • Create interactive and longform content
  • Troubleshoot site issues; respond to fan contact us emails
  • Implement tracking pixels using Adobe Launch; evaluate website metrics to make platform decisions
  • Interface with NFL Digital and third-party vendors; implement third-party technologies (Scribble, Riddle, etc.)
  • Assist the Digital Designer with management of the digital asset library and photo tagging, as needed
  • Provide support for Ravens Mobile app and TV app development tasks, as needed
  • Manage and train annual Digital Intern
  • Evaluate equipment and technology needs
  • Assist in annual budget process

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Work under the supervision of the Director of Digital Strategy & Innovation
  • Work 40-hour-plus weeks, in addition to all game days (home and away) and required to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary
  • Work in the office 5 days/week in-season and at least 4 days/week in the offseason (with flexibility)
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill organizational digital requests
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers within the department and throughout the organization
  • Perform duties as outlined by the Ravens’ organizational mission, values and goals
  • Project a professional image in all interactions including fans, corporate partners and fellow Ravens’ associates, coaches and players
  • Arrive on time and perform duties in a professional manner
  • Go the extra mile to assist other members of the department

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants are reviewed based on the following:

  • Degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in Digital Media, Web/App Development, Digital or Interactive Marketing, Communications or related field. (Previous experience with a sports team, particularly in the NFL or MLS, a plus)
  • Employment or freelance experience in a digital marketing and/or web development role a plus
  • Possess initiative and passion for digital/visual communication mediums, organization, creativity, fan engagement and customer focus
  • Proficiency and previous experience in basic content management platforms, app development, HTML coding, Microsoft Word and Excel. (Previous use of NFL/MLS CMS [Pocket] and/or other Internet-related skills – i.e. CSS, Java, etc. a plus)
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously a must; superior time management skills; highly collaborative worker; capability to prioritize and delegate tasks. (Familiarity with Asana software a plus)
  • Excellent and effective communication, superior attention to detail and proof-reading skills
  • Basic proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Availability to work long, irregular hours and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines, think creatively, and work well on a team

COVID VACCINATION REQUIREMENT

Baltimore Ravens employees will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to work. Fully vaccinated means that you have been vaccinated and received a booster shot (booster shots can be administered two months after receiving the single dose of the J&J vaccine or five months after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine). Therefore, proof of a COVID-19 vaccination (including the booster) will be required by your start date in order to be eligible to begin working.
