NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Administrative Assistant, Racing Innovation based in Concord, NC.

Covers a range of administrative functions dealing with the day-to-day business operations of the departments while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Plans and implements cost-effective travel itineraries for department personnel (~30 employees) while maintaining budget limits.
  • Monitor incoming communications, visitors and guests; respond or route accordingly.
  • Obtains needed background information before returning calls or visitors to the department leader.
  • Review, enter, track, and forecast travel expenses and reports for department staff.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and reconciles departmental expenses.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence as needed.
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings and circulate topics to be discussed. Manage and update departmental records on SharePoint sites.
  • Receives incoming mail and internal correspondence and establishes controls on certain items for department.
  • Processes outgoing mailings.
  • Covers the receptionist desk as needed (i.e. lunch break)
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Complete special projects or other duties as assigned.

Required skills / experience:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years administrative professional experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Company-provided hardware and software including entire suite of Microsoft 365 software to include Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.  Additional computer skills require proficiency with web-based software applications, access control software applications and internet search engine software.
