Quantitative Analyst

General Description:

The Baltimore Ravens Player Personnel Department is hiring a Quantitative Analyst. You will join a small group of data analysts and developers who are passionate about the player evaluation process. We encourage you to apply if you love data analysis, programming, and football. The Ravens seek a self-starter who can determine and achieve their own goals. If you don’t feel you are the most knowledgeable football fan, that’s okay. We are looking for a passionate football fan with a desire to learn.

Primary Job Duties:

• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and scouts to create interpretable models that evaluate players and emphasize their strengths and weaknesses.
• Plan and prioritize data science initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand data-driven decision-making.
• Present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, or another quantitative subject (advanced degree is a plus).
• Demonstrated experience in data cleaning, regression, and machine learning or other predictive modeling.
• Demonstrated coding proficiency (R, Python, etc.).
• Strong fundamentals in databases and coding skills.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to Baltimore, MD.

Salary and Benefits: 

• Range: $80,000+
• Company-paid health insurance, including health and vision. Dental insurance also provided with minimal employee contribution
