The Media Systems Support Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our media systems infrastructure. This position will be responsible for maintaining our MAM system, MacOS, and Windows environments, and managing various cloud services, with a primary focus on AWS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage and optimize AWS services including Route53, CloudFront, EC2, S3, and Lambda to support our various workflows.
- Maintain and implement video workflows for transcoding, ingests, and restores.
- Provide support for Adobe Premiere users.
- Deliver level 1-2 MacOS and Windows support.
- Maintain and update WordPress backend, while also providing level 1-2 support.
- Manage CDN services such as Cloudflare and CloudFront.
- Demonstrate basic networking knowledge to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Knowledge of JAMF/Intune to manage MacOS and Windows devices.
- Collaborate with teams using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation.
- Knowledge of Git for source code management.
- The position requires weekend on-call availability.
- Travel: <10%, including weekends to racetracks. There is bi-weekly weekend on-call support.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator).
- Experience with video production and post-production workflows.
- Previous exposure to WordPress backend management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in managing cloud environments or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
